While most of Germany’s wine production is focused on white wines, its cool climate, limestone soils and high altitudes also provide ideal conditions for quality Pinot Noir - or, as it’s known here, Spatburgunder! Light in body, this wine shows fresh raspberry and red cherry aromas, mingling with mushroom, tobacco and a touch of smoke.
