Dei - Sangiovese - Rosso di Montepulciano

This delicious Sangiovese might have a complicated name, but it hails from Tuscany. Montepulciano is a town as well as a grape and when you refer to the town, well they produce Sangiovese of course! Dei's wine is produced by Caterina Dei after she took over from her father. This wine is aged briefly in Slavonian oak for a touch of spice and woodiness that balances notes of red fruit of cherry, plum, and raspberry. Try this with a spaghetti bolognese or mushroom lasagne to help tame the tannin and lift the fruit profile.
