Fresh North Carolina seafood and a glass of fine wine – simple pleasures that brighten up a lazy fall day on their own, but when paired, create a bit of magic. Dock to Door Seafood and The Wine Feed are proud to host a family-friendly seafood and wine festival –“Hook + Vine”! Hook + Vine is a collaborative celebration of North Carolina seafood and an outstanding selection of complementary wines on Sunday, October 14th at 4:00pm.
We’re teaming up with Battistella’s, PoshNosh Catering, Sarah Cecilia’s Good Food Co., Mandolin, and Organics + Sounds to present attendees with five tastes of North Carolina seafood highlighting wild, more sustainable ocean species like Sheepshead and Grunts (aka Gray Snapper), as well as classics like Shrimp and Flounder. Each seafood taste will be paired with a thoughtful pour from The Wine Feed’s extensive offerings.
Five seafood tastes + five wine tastes = one unforgettable Sunday afternoon with Raleigh’s finest at Dock to Door and The Wine Feed’s inaugural wine and seafood celebration, Hook + Vine.

Thank you to our partners:
Battistella’s – Chef Brian Battistella opened Battistella’s last year in City Market in downtown Raleigh, and his classic New Orleans cuisine as well as his take on local and regional dishes from across the South are a welcome addition to Raleigh’s vibrant restaurant community.
Sarah Cecilia’s Good Food Co – Chef Kim Hunter of Sarah Cecilia’s Good Food Co. takes pleasure in feeding people, and her goal is to craft real food from sustainable, seasonal ingredients. Her dishes are inspired by both her Korean heritage and her midwest comfort food upbringing.
Mandolin - Ever since opening last November, Mandolin has been one of our favorite restaurants in Raleigh. We are ecstatic that Chef Sean Fowler will be bringing his fresh take on Southern food to Hook + Vine. His cooking is elegant yet approachable, and each dish highlights the delicious bounty of North Carolina.
PoshNosh - PoshNosh is the go-to caterer for Raleigh foodies. Chef Coleen Speaks crafts dishes that reflect Raleigh’s abundance of small farms and ethnic influences, and she sources her fresh, seasonal ingredients from other locally-owned businesses.
Organics & Sounds – Originally from Kenya, inspirational Chef Njathi Kabui now lives, farms, and cooks right here in the Triangle. His catering company, Organics and Sounds, aims to unite food, education, music, and community, and also focuses on sustainable and organic farming.
