From the hills of Monferrato in southern Asti, Alasia produces Barberas with structure and dark fruit. Though the wine only spends 4-6 months in stainless steel tanks, the wine has a nice weight. Typical flavors of cherry, plum, and spice mingle with juicy raspberry fruit. The wine has good acidity to balance fruit flavors and finishes smoothly. Pair with anything Italian, especially pizza or rigatoni and load up on the parmesan!
