Morgon is one of the 10 Crus in Beaujolais, which is the southernmost bit of Burgundy in France. Beaujolais uses the Gamay grape, as opposed to Pinot Noir like the rest of Burgundy. Morgon wines have nice minerality, solid structure, and beautiful red and black fruit notes. You can expect a very aromatic nose on this wine, followed by blackberry and blueberry notes, with a slightly chalky finish.
