The Lechat family's winemaking story began in 1946 when the first Muscadet vines were purchased by Ludovic Lechat. Today, this certified organic winery has been passed down from father to son for 3 generations and has grown from just a few hectares to 43 hectares. They now grow not only Muscadet, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay among others. Brothers Anthony and Thierry work together managing the cellar and the vineyard, keeping their grandfather's legacy alive. This wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc that is harvested from less than one hectare of all of their vines. Grown on clay-silt soils and aged in underground vats, this light-bodied white is soft and delicate with tasting notes of ripe citrus and a hint of white flowers and sugar snap pea. Enjoy as an aperitif or with a lean fish dish.
