Avennia is a wonderful winery in Washington State's Columbia Valley. The AVA itself is larger than some states. At 18,000 square miles, or 11 million acres, the appellation covers almost half of Washington State and a small part of Oregon on the south side of the Columbia River. "Gravura" - is made to be like the wines of Graves in Bordeaux, where it is all about balanceing almost equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, then tying them together with a splash of Cabernet Franc
