The Badenhorst winery uses traditional winemaking methods. All fruit is fermented in old oak casks, concrete vats or open wooden vats, depending on color and variety. The red wines will then undergo long post-ferment macerations, before pressing and aging in casks or 4000 litre foudres. The grapes that make up this vineyard are: Chenin Blanc, Cinsault, and Grenache. Other varieties are brought in from other sites in the area and blended perfectly togeteher.
This is Bandenhorst's 9th vintage of the Cinsault Blend. You will find that the wine is pleasantly perfumed with pepper, spice, and red fruit leading the drinker to a supple, smooth palate. The body of this cinsault blend will be slightly grippy and fresh that carries you to a refreshing and dry finish. The Cinsault in the blend ensures that this young wine will age fantastically if you have the patience to wait for it!
Pair this blend with any Beef or Venison meal.
