A pinnacle of modern architecture, design, and innovation, Bodegas Baigorri has a “glass box” facility on a mountaintop that speaks to their well equipped operation. They use only vertical processing methods, letting gravity do the work and preserving the quality of the grapes as much as possible. Modernity accounted for, they still maintain traditional growing methods that are vegan and biodynamic. The Negu wine is their entry level label and is 100% Tempranillo. It’s a vibrant cherry red with violet hues. Hailing from the Rioja Alavesa region, the medium-bodied red’s aromas are fruity with hints of flowers, currents, blackberries, and spice. It can be enjoyed slightly chilled, especially in warmer weather. It’s a very food-friendly wine that pairs well with a range of foods – from roast chicken to paella, or even hearty grilled vegetable skewers.
