Paitin is a certified organic winery in Northern Italy that has been owned by the Pasquero-Elia family for 8 generations. 'Serra' is named for the Grand Cru vineyard Serraboella where the grapes are grown. They currently own 17 hectares and the vineyards in Serraboella have soils with calcerous white clay with sandstone. This wine is fermented in stainless steel before being aged for 12 months in Slavonian oak. This medium bodied red is made from 100% Barbera and you can expect tasting notes of red and black fruit, leather and a touch of smoke. Pair this wine with wild game for best results!
