Barboursville - Cabernet Sauvignon - Virginia

From the historical land in Virginia where Jefferson began planting vines sprung a wine culture that continues today. Barboursville began in 1814 when James Barbour was in office as Virginia's Governor. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a great reflection of Virginia's wine possibilities. The wine is vivid and concentrated with notes of blackcurrant, black cherry, and baked strawberry. The wine is well spiced and has a healthy dose of tannin which makes it perfect with steak, roast beef, or marinated portobello mushrooms.
