Benoit Badoz - Poulsard - Jura

This intriguing wine comes from a small region known as Jura in France. It's on the eastern side of France almost all the way to Switzerland. Here in the cool climate of the alps wines are high in acid, light in color and body and delicate. Badoz's Poulsard shows crunchy fruit - cranberry, underripe strawberry and raspberry as well as an herbal component like licorice and spice. This style of wine is great with herb crusted veggie casseroles and game hen.
