Berthenet - Aligote

Aligoté is a lesser-known white variety grown in Burgundy. Aligoté is an easy-drinking wine with great acidity and clean green fruit and citrus flavors. The Berthenets produce theirs with young and old vines and it is aged in stainless steel for a fresh style with green apple and minerality. Though often used as the base for the Burgundian drink "kir," Aligoté on its own is a delicious companion to white fish, sautéed seafood, cheese platters, and light chicken salads.
