Familia Bastida produces Bobal from 55 year old vines. These older vines produce concentrated grapes that add more flavor to the resulting wine. Biftu is matured in French and Hungarian oak barrels that add a nice spice flavor as well as vanilla. Other flavors you'll find are violets, black cherry, strawberry and nutmeg. The Utiel-Requena DOP has become very well-known for authentic and delicious Bobal and Biftu definitely fits the bill.
