The little-known DOC of Colli Piacentini is nestled between Piedmont and Lombardy. It is here that the Bonelli family has been producing wines since the 1940s, with a particular focus on equally little-known indigenous grape varieties. The Ortrugo grape, a white grape grows almost exclusively in Colli Piacentini, is richly aromatic, showing a bright bouquet of apricot, honeyed almond and tangerine blossom. Dried stone fruit and melon on the palate make this wine a perfect partner to baked trout with herbs or sushi.
