Started as a dream by Portland native Jimi Brooks in 1998, his son, sister and best friend have made it their mission to keep the winery his living legacy and fulfill his dreams of making it as sustainable as possible. Not only did the winery become certified biodynamic in 2012, but they have planted over 60,000 trees all over the world since partnering with Ecologi in 2001. Brooks 2024 Pinot Blanc is bright and generous with aromas of lemon blossom, white flowers, pear, and nectarine, as well as a tropical lift reminiscent of an ocean breeze. It drinks medium-light, is round on the mid-palate, and finishes bright and brisk. An easy food pairing wine, it’s perfect with dishes from the Pacific Northwest – oysters, shellfish, Dungeness crab, or grilled salmon alongside a lemony vegetable salad. Serve well chilled to get the most out of the citrus and salinity.
