Calluna 'CVC' - Red Blend

Calluna Vineyards began in 2001 when founder and winemaker David Jeffrey moved his family from the east coast to California and he began his education in Viticulture and Enology before finally purchasing and planting 12 acres of vines in 2005. David knew exactly the terroir he wanted his vines to grow in and Chalk Hill, located just outside the Russian Rivery Valley, checked all the boxes. With cool climate, minimal frost exposure and excellent soil drainage, Bordeaux varietals thrive here. This full-bodied red is made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Tasting notes of ripe, dark fruit including blackberries and plums with a touch of oak and spice make this wine a great pairing for grilled meats and vegetables.
