The Cantina Terlano winery dates back to 1893 and through time has risen to one of the top-ranking wine growers’ cooperatives in the Alto Adige region of Italy, a collective that is 143 winegrowers strong. Grown in soils comprised of natural red porphyry stone of volcanic origin, this wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir from old vines that have been on the property since the 19th century. It is aged for 12 months in both old and new barrels and is blended for 3 months before bottling. Wild strawberries, raspberry, a hint of cherry and spice make this wine a great pairing for game meats including venison or other rich dishes like barley risotto.
