Castell Del Remei is the oldest winery in Catalonia, and owner Tomas Cusine is known to be one of the best winemakers in the country. The property itself has a long history of winemaking with viticulture activity dating back to 1780. Today, their production area totals 100 organic hectares of sandy-clay gravel soils, with the average age of vines over 25 years old. The Mediterranean climate found here consists of cold winters and hot summers, which helps the grapes thrive. This young, bright white is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Macabeo, and white Grenache. It is fresh and balanced with a touch of sweetness and a minerality, reflective of Macabeo. This is a great wine to share with friends at a dinner party.
