Located at possibly the highest vineyard sites in Catalonia with elevations of up to 3280 ft, winemaker Raül Bobet settled on this location in the Pyrenees mountains in 2001 in hopes of minimizing the effects of climate change. While the estate boasts 95 hectares of property, only 23 are planted to vine. The remainder of the estate consists of dense woods, creating a polyculture that benefits both the vineyards and the bioculture as a whole. 'Taleia' is a blend of primarily Sauvignon Blanc and a small portion of Semillon to add texture and complexity. Bursting with notes of stone fruit, ripe green apple and lime, river rock and sweet almond, this wine would pair beautifully with creamy garlic chicken.
