This noble native vine of Lazio finds its best expression on the pebble and clay hill called "Breccia". Cesanese is one the indigenous varietals of Lazio that is becoming increasingly well known as wine drinkers turn their attention to things that have long been overlooked. These grapes are grown in calcerous, clay soils and are harvested by hand. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 15 months in small concrete vessels, this wine has a beautiful clear garnet color. Expect to find notes of morello cherries, raspberries and rose petals on the nose followed by a silky, fruit forward palate. Pair with your favorite lasagna recipe.
