Jose Moro started his winery in 2000 after planting clones of centuries old vines gifted to him by his father and grandfather. Just two years later the first vintage of Cepa 21 was born and has since become their flagship. Bodegas has only continued to further their success over the last 20+ years, even landing Jose a spot for the first winemaker on the Forbes list for 100 most innovative entrepreneurs. A mixture of lime, clay and stony soils help give this full-bodied Tempranillo a balanced acidity to complement the plentiful tannins that the Ribera del Duero region is so well known for. You can expect tasting notes of dark cherry, spice and cedar, making this bold red the perfect pairing for traditional Spanish dishes like paella or roast lamb.
