The Chalmers family have been making wine in Australia for over 30 years and have a special interest in sustainable, warm-climate viticulture practices. They have a vast collection of 100 varietals and clones in their nursery, supplying grafted vines, rootings and cuttings to vineyards across the country. This 'Field Blend' holds true to its name. It is made up of 32% Piedirosso, 20% Pavana, 14% Lagrein, 12% Sagrantino, 7% Lambrusco Maestri, 6% Sangiovese, 4% Teroldego, 3% Schioppettino and 2% Aglianico. Most of the grapes in this red blend have been imported to Chalmers over the last 25 years and highlight the success of Italian varietals in Australia.
