Produced by Chalmers Winery, ‘Mother Block’ refers to a 35-hectare block of the property, where the winemakers’ house, cellar and mother vines are located. While most blends are made of grapes that are grown and vinified separately before being blended before bottling, the grapes for this wine are planted and fermented together, giving the finished product a true expression of the natural terroir. Expect a smooth wine with flavors of red cherry, dark plum and hints of earth and dried herbs.
