The history of Château de Cruzeau dates back to the 17th century when it was founded byJacques de Cruzeau. It passed many hands until André Lurton purchased the estate in 1973 and worked on restoring it post-phylloxera. Today, André’s seven children have taken over running the estate, which is made up of 100 hectares south facing and set on gravelly hilltops, an ideal winegrowing terroir. This well-balanced red blend has notes of red fruit, ripe red currant with a touch of spice and chocolate. This wine can be cellared and aged for 10-15 years or can be enjoyed with a smoked duck breast or mushroom risotto.
