With a rich history, Chateau Grand Francais viticulture dates back to the 15th century. This family owned winery has thrived throughout the centuries specifically relating to the health of their vines and received awards for them as early as 1906. They became certified organic in 2002, making them part of the fewer than 2% of Bordeaux producers to do so. The 40+ year old vines are grown on sandy-limestone soils and every vintage is hand harvested. Aged in both new and used French oak for 10-14 months, this bold red blend has tasting notes of plum and dark currant complemented by violets and woodiness. Pair this wine with an aged English cheddar or a roast beef tenderloin with Marchand de Vin sauce.
