France
Chateau Jouclary is located in the South of France just outside the medieval city of Carcassonne and the property itself dates back to 1530 and is named for then consul of Carcassonne, Guilhaume de Jouclary. It wasn't until 1969 that Robert Gianesini acquired the property and promptly started producing wine. Today, the property is made up of 60 hectares and is rich in clay-limestone hillsides. 'Cabardes' is made from a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Tasting notes of redcurrants, peaches, citrus and white flowers make this wine incredibly food friendly and it can be paired with charcuterie or Asian dishes.
