Eric Fonta makes consistently delicious wine in a quiet corner of Graves, employing vineyards that have been in his family for more than 200 years. Though Graves was once the cradle of Bordeaux winemaking, modern-day Bordeaux is huge, and dominated by the famous Chateaux of the Medoc. Chateau Lehoul however is so delicious and flies under the radar, but every so often it scores super high in the majot publications. That says a lot for a little wine like this. Made up mostly of Sauvignon Blanc, it has a very pithy and citrus oil core, with the Semillon bringing about a really elegant and soft floral finish to the wine.
