Classic French varietals meets the complex and diverse terroirs and microclimates found throughout Northern California and southern Oregon - that is the goal of winemakers Adam Webb and Mike Kuenz at Cochon Wineries. Their 'Les Collines d'Or' (or 'the golden hills') is their first foray into Chardonnay, crafted with fruit from vineyards within the renowned Russian River Valley. The grapes see consistent sunshine and cooling morning mists, allowing for optimal ripeness and vibrancy. This wine is unmistakably Californian, bursting with flavors of honeydew melon, lemon curd, baking spice and buttered croissant, with a crisp acidity to keep it all in balance. Pair this bottle with Swiss or Gruyere fondue, fresh lobster with butter or baked ricotta with lemon, garlic and chives.
