This certified organic Tuscan winery has been family-owned for nearly 50 years. Initially purchased in 1975 for sheep farming and cheese production on 5.5 hectares, the estate has since expanded to 17 hectares, now encompassing two sections: Corzano and Paterno. While the family continues its cheese-making tradition, they also cultivate grains, olives, and grapes. ‘Il Corzanello’ is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot and is hand-harvested with fermentation taking place with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in stainless steel for 5 months. Juicy notes of cherry, plum, and blackberry include just a touch of charcoal on the finish. Pair with grilled pork chops, red sauce pizza, and mushroom risotto.
