Located in the heart of Cravant-le-Côteaux lies Domaine de Pallus, a family owned estate where current owner Bertrand Sourdais took over for his father in early 2000. Even though he is the 'new generation' he prefers winemaking techniques that were favored by older generations including handling the wine less and bottling it later than most of the Domaines in Chinon region. Messanges is an old Loire Valley name for Cabernet Franc and Pallus focues on both the region and grape's true character. With a balanced acidity and silky body complemented by florality and spice, you can pair this red with sausages and goat cheese or cellar for a few more years and enjoy later.
