Winemaker and owner of Domaine de Piéblanc, Matthieu Ponson, has been creating delicious wines in the Rhone Valley region of France since 2014. His certified organic estate grows a variety of robust grape varietals, including the Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan that make up this wine. These grapes thrive in the sandy, clay-limestone soils and benefit from cool mountain breezes, which preserve freshness. The 2020 vintage has generous aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and plums with violets, spice, and garrigue herbs, accented by a mineral edge. Medium-bodied with supple tannins, it balances ripe fruit and savory depth, finishing smooth and elegant. A versatile pairing partner, try it with grilled lamb, herb-roasted vegetables, charcuterie, or hearty Provençal stews.
