This delicious white comes from 10-hectares near Violès, directly across the Ouvèze River from Gigondas.  Aged on the lees in a combination of neutral barrels and stainless tanks.

Often, whites from the southern Rhone can be oily and heavy. This example from Les Deux Albions Blanc is fresh and vibrant and shows the salty minerality typical of limestone terroir with notes of dried apricots and white flowers.
