Four generations of winemakers have worked the vineyards at Domaine Saint-Damien, since 1821; the property was named for a long-gone chapel that used to stand near the cellars. This classic Gigondas blend was fermented in concrete vats, then aged for 12 months in oak, allowing the tannins to mellow out and the notes of dried herbs, licorice, and dark cherries to mingle and blend.
