This certified organic and biodynamic Domaine was founded in 1725 and has been passed down from father to son ever since. Today, the 7th generation of the Ehrhart family is running the winery with just as much as passion for winemaking as their ancestors before them. They own 25 hectares of land including 4 terroirs of Grand-Crus, all of which are harvested by hand. This red is made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir Hengst, which is one of only two Grand-Cru sites permitted to produce Grand-Cru Pinot Noir. The friuit remains in contact with the juice for 2-3 weeks and is aged in stainless and burgundy barrels for 10 months before being bottled. Raspberry, sweet red cherries and a touch of spice is complemented by a refreshing acidity, making this a great pairing for many dishes including paella, red meats or pizza.
