Born and raised in Calvados, Christophe Durrand moved to South Africa in 1995 to sell premium French barrels, but quickly found his way into winemaking and Dorrance was born. These grapes are harvested from multiple locations around Swartland from plots that are all mostly granite soil. Picked in the very early morning to preserve freshness, the grapes only see 3 hours of skin contact and the juice ferments naturally in stainless steel. Elegant and complex, this wine offers flavors of wild berries and fresh white peaches and finishes with a touch of spice. Pair with a salad with roasted chicken or enjoy a glass of this all on its own!
