Barcelona to Alicante
Spain's popular Mediterranean coastline attracts millions of visitors from around the world each year. Known for plentiful sun and sandy beaches, many people overlook another marvel just a bit to the west: wine production! Less than one hour from the coast, there are several notable regions with warm growing climates moderated by the sea. This means all styles of quality wine are abundant: from sparkling, to white and rosé, and many styles of red. Catalunya is also home to fresh and unique cuisines that are revered and copied throughout Spain, and all around the world.
Starting in Barcelona, we will visit neighboring regions like Penedes, Priorat, Montsant, and Costers del Segre. We will be in this area for 4 nights.
We will then start our journey south towards the Valencia area. Spending 2 nights, we will enjoy some of the most drinkable wine styles coming out of Spain. There will also be several culinary surprises that you won't want to miss!
For our final segment, we'll stay near Alicante. Here we will visit the region of the same name, but also the rising star regions of Jumilla and Yecla.
Our tour concludes in Alicante--home to an airport and train stations that can connect you back to any other parts of Spain you may be interesting in visiting!
The full expected tour cost for double occupancy is $4500 per person. The singles supplement is an additional $500, or $5000 per person If traveling as a couple, please be sure to add two double occupancy payments to your car.
