“Picotener” refers to a specific type of Nebbiolo grape that was almost forgotten and now is specifically used to make this wine! The grapes are grown in sandy-loamy soils and are chilled before fermentation to preserve flavor. This wine can be consumed now, but has cellaring potential of 5-7 years. Expect to find flavors of rose and violet, cherries and plums and a bit of a spice driven finish. Pair with game dishes and pasta with any variety of tomato and meat based sauce.
