The Rivera-Aparicio family are the proud owners of Bodegas Epifano Rivera and their winemaking roots run deep in Pesquera de Duero. Their vines are almost 100 years old, their underground cellar dates back to the 16th century and their wine press fondly named "La Cocedera" dates back to the 19th century. A Tempranillo with tenacity, this red is aged 6 months in French and American oak barrels adding toasty vanilla and spice aromas. Flavors of blackberries, black licorice, and mineral undertones greet the taste buds. The acidity of this wine makes it a great pairing with a beef filet as well as something a bit edgier such as venison.
