Epifanio Rivera is a vineyard steeped in tradition, and 'Tradicion Familia' was made to express that reverence. With Tempranillo grapes hand harvested from 80 year old vines, the winemakers make no changes to the terrain at all and farm everything sustainably. Following a completely natural fermentation with native yeasts and a secondary malolactic fermentation to achieve a strikingly soft mouthfeel, 'Tradicion Familia' is aged for 18 months in barrels before bottling. A brilliant bouquet of figs, clove, and eucalyptus gives way to a precise balance of dark red fruit, acid, and tannin.
