Since 1870, the Romei Rigoli family has owned Fattoria Ambra, named after a poem titled 'Ambra' written by Lorenzo the Magnificent in the 15th century; their 20 hectare estate is spread across four of the most important Crus of Carmignano. One of the smallest DOCGs in Tuscany, it also yields some of the highest quality wines, and this one offers hints of blueberry, violet, vanilla, and toast from its two years in barrel. Its the perfect complement to aged cheeses, or red game meats.
