Located in the heart of Tuscany, this winery prides itself on producing wine from ancient varietals. This operation began in the 1980s, so while wine has been produced on the property for 50 years, they only distributed locally and enjoyed the product for personal use. In 2001, the founder's son decided to take a chance on wider distribution, and they have never looked back. Made from 80% Sangiovese, 10% Colorino, and 10% Malvasia Nero, this red is sharp and fresh. You will experience tasting notes of berries, including black raspberry and blueberries, mingled with floral notes of lavender and violet. This wine would be great as a table red but could also be paired with pappardelle and hearty ragu.
