Founded at a rather rough time in the history of Chianti, Felsina worked hard to change the trajectory of the region and began producing wines of only the finest quality and they have been doing so ever since. This is a great Chianti Classico Riserva that comes from just outside of Siena in the southeast and is fermented in Slavonian Oak barrels then is transfered to French oak, making the wine more approachable in its youth. Though this is a Chianti that will improve over the next 12-15 years!
