Ferrandiere - Syrah

Specializing in 100% varietal wines from the south of France's large region, Pays d'Oc, Ferrandière lies in ancient wetlands in the Languedoc. After going through periodic flooding after winter, the vines are ready to produce a healthy crop in summer. This unique way of watering the vines also keeps them free of the dreaded root louse, phylloxera, which has and can kill vines. Here, the vines are protected and produce pure fruit and at a great price for a weekday wine. This Syrah has deeply rich notes of blackberry, licorice and dried herbs and is a great companion to lamb tagine or Indian foods.
