Catarratto
Sicily, Italy
Feudi del Pisciotto’s “Colori di Sicilia” 2024 celebrates one of Sicily’s oldest native grapes, Cataratto, through a modern, elegant lens. The house is also known for commissioning renowned Italian fashion designers to create each label—an artistic tribute to Sicily’s beauty and culture. The estate, which is situated near the southeastern coast in Val di Noto, benefits from sea breezes and sandy soils that preserve freshness and add aromatics. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, this wine brims with notes of white peach, tangerine, and gardenia alongside gentle ginger. Lively acidity keeps it crisp and bright, with a smooth, saline finish that reflects its coastal origins. Drink moderately chilled and pair with grilled swordfish, seafood pasta, or ricotta-stuffed zucchini blossoms for a true Sicilian experience.
