Fontanavecchia lies in the Campania region of Southern Italy and has been family owned since the beginning of the 19th century. Today, the organic winery extends over 18 hectares and produces many ancient varietals, some that are grown exclusively in Campania. This particular wine is made from 100% Aglianico, a black grape that has been grown for centuries and is used to create the only Italian DOCG rosé. Grown in lime-rich marlstone and aged in stainless steel, this medium bodied rosé still drinks very delicately with tasting notes of strawberry, cherry and raspberry. Enjoy this wine as aperitif or pair with grilled salmon.
