San Luis Obispo, California is home to the Fossil Point estate and provides a climate with strong maritime influences. Shale and sandy soils help the grapes retain heat and become very aromatic. Each grape is hand harvested and Fossil Point is certified sustainable! After harvesting, the grapes are direct pressed then fermented in stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels. This pale pink rose is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. Grapefruit and lemon are present on the nose with notes of pink lemonade, raspberries, and candied red fruit across the palate. This rose pairs delightfully with wood fired pizza or a grilled chicken cobb salad.
