While originally a canola farm, Bernhard Heyns saw the potential in the land on the estate to create beautiful wines and in 2001, Gabrielskloof was born. Over the past couple of decades, they have not only proven that to be true but they have expanded the operations to include members of the local community, several of whom have risen through the ranks to senior positions within Gabrielskloof. It has always been a core value of the Heyns family to give back to and uplift those around them, both through their employment practices and through separate initiatives within the community.
