A medium-bodied white grape that grows almost exclusively in this part of Spain, Verdejo has started to make a name for itself on the world stage. Garciarévalo, in particular, creates beautiful expressions of this grape with their unique positioning near the rivers Adaja and Eresma. These rivers create a microclimate that can be up to 5 degrees warmer than the surrounding areas, and the vineyard altitude of 900m provides a nightly temperature drop that is key to retaining acidity. While 'Casamaro' has been a favorite of ours for quite some time, this newly released 2021 vintage blew us away and we couldn't wait to share it! Melon, lychee, apricot and citrus, with dried flowers and a hint of fennel, this bottle would pair nicely with carnitas, chili lime shrimp or Halloumi cheese.
