A team of expert viticulturists and environmentalists are part of the fabric of Bodega Garzon, run by husband and wife duo Alejandro and Bettina Bulgheroni, ensuring that each vintage of wine that comes out of the estate is the best expression the land has to offer. Bodega Garzon is the first sustainable, LEED certified (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) winery in Uruguay and cultivates an impressive 240 hectares of vineyards. This medium-bodied wine is hand-harvested and undergoes a five-day maceration before fermenting in cement tanks, followed by aging in for 12-18 months in untoasted French oak barrels. Notes of cherries, roses, and strawberry jam are present throughout. Pair with mushroom risotto, oven baked pork chops, and grilled salmon.
